Pecan Pie Bars

Cookie Crust:
 2 ½ cups flour
 2 sticks butter
 ½ cup sugar
 ½ tsp salt
 1 cup pecans, chopped
Filling:
 4 eggs
 1 ½ cups Karo, light or dark
 1 ½ cups sugar
 3 tbsp melted butter
 1 ½ tsp vanilla
 2 ½ cups pecans, halves or broken

Beat ingredients together until crumbly. Press in oiled jelly roll pan. Bake 20-23 minutes until golden.

Beat eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour over hot crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
